Abstract:
Karst collapse is one of the main geological disasters in the northern hilly area of Guangzhou City, which poses a real threat to the safe production and harmonious life, and restricts the revitalization and development of local villages. Based on the analysis of the formation conditions of karst collapses, such as karst development degree, overburden soil conditions and groundwater dynamic conditions, this work selects six assessment factors, such as karst development degree, soil thickness, soil structure, annual variation of groundwater level, influence range of faults and density of collapse points. The weight of each factor is determined by analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The comprehensive index method is used to establish the assessment model of karst collapses susceptibility, and the susceptibility assessment of karst collapses in the northern hilly area of Guangzhou City is carried out. The results show that the high, medium and low susceptibility areas of karst collapses in the northern hilly area of Guangzhou City are 4.77 km
2, 14.24 km
2 and 21.71 km
2, respectively. 94.29% of karst collapse is distributed in the high susceptibility area, 5.71% of karst collapse is distributed in the medium susceptibility area, and the susceptibility zoning assessment is reasonable. The research results can provide a basis for early warning and prevention zoning of local karst collapse geological disasters, and also provide geological support for promoting rural revitalization and development.
